ಭಾಲ್ಕಿ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಸಂಕ್ಷಿಪ್ತ ವಿವರ
ಶಾಸನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಭಲ್ಲುಂಕೆ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಮಿತಾಕ್ಷರ ಎಂಬ ಗ್ರಂಥ ರಚಿಸಿದ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನೇಶ್ವರ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ್ದು ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಮಾಸಿಮಾಡ ಗ್ರಾಮದಲಿ. ೧೨ನೆಯ ಶತಮಾನದ ಕುಂಬಾರ ಗುಂಡಯ್ಯ ಎಂಬ ಶರಣ ಭಾಲ್ಕಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದನು. ಭಾಲ್ಕಿ ನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಲ್ಕೇಶ್ವರ ದೇವಾಲಯ, ಕುಂಭೇಶ್ವರ ದೇವಾಲಯ, ಖಡಕೇಶ್ವರ ದೇವಾಲಯ, ಉರಿಲಿಂಗ ಪೆದ್ದಿಮಠ, ಹಿರೇಮಠ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾನ, ಚನ್ನಬಸವಾಶ್ರಮ ಮತ್ತು ರಾಮೇಶ್ವರ ಟೆಕನಿ ಮುಂತಾದವು ನೋಡುವಂತಹ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಾಗಿವೆ.ಗ್ರಾಮೀಣ ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕ ಮಹಾವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ದೇಶದ ನಾನಾ ಭಾಗದ ವಿದ್ಯಾಥಿಗಳು ವ್ಯಾಸಂಗ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
- The Town Municipal Council (TMC) Bhalki was constituted in 1953.
- It has a population of 35,102. as per census 2001.
- The TMC has 23 wards and equal number of councilors.
- Bhalki TMC stretches to an area of 17.00 SqKms.
- Bhalki's importance in the 1857 war is played out at the very end of the war, when one of Tatya Topes followers is arrested and tried by the Nizam, in 1867.
- Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%.
- Bhalki has an average literacy rate of 67%, higher than the national average of 59.5%; with 61% of the males and 39% of the females literate. 14% of the population is under 6 years of age.
- Official language is Kannada and Marathi, Dakhni Urdu are also widely spoken.
ಗಣಕೀಕರಣ : ಪುರಸಭೆ ಭಾಲ್ಕಿ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯ ಆಸ್ತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸಿ, ಆಸ್ತಿ ವಿವರಗಳನ್ನು ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಮಾಹಿತಿಯನ್ನು ಗಣಕೀಕೃತಗೊಳಿಸುವದು ಪ್ರಗತಿಯಲ್ಲಿದು ಶೀಘ್ರದಲ್ಲೇ ನಾಗರೀಕರು ಇದರ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯ ಪಡೆಯಬಹುದಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ಇದರ ಜೊತೆಗೆ 1995 ನೇ ಸಾಲಿನಿಂದ ಈವರೆಗೆ ಜನನ ಮತ್ತು ಮರಣ ದಾಖಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ಗಣಕೀಕೃತಗೊಳಿಸಿದ್ದು, ನಾಗರೀಕರು ಇನ್ನು ಮುಂದೆ ಜನನ-ಮರಣ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಪತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ನಿಗಧಿತ ಶುಲ್ಕ ಪಾವತಿಸಿ ಪಡೆಯಬಹುದಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ನಾಗರಿಕರು ತಮ್ಮ ದೂರುಗಳು ಆನ್ಲೈನ್ ಅಥವಾ ದೂರವಾಣಿ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ 08484-261941 ಮೂಲಕ ನೂಂದಣೆ ಮಾಡಬಹುದು.
Computerisation: Properties within TMC limits have been identified through field survey and the Computerisation of detail information collected through survey is under process. Birth & Death records are available online from the year 1995. Citizens are requested to use this facility for registration and obtain Birth and Death Certificates Online only .
